TALES OF THE COCKTAIL *

July 2025

  • Concept

Tales of the Cocktail is a yearly conference for beverage industry professionals held in New Orleans. As T. Edward expands our National reach, we decided to bring our “Teddy’s" Bar” concept down to NOLA. Partnering with a few of our spirits producers, we coordinated two events that brought these brands to the forefront.

  • My Work

I led the marketing effort for this project, collaborating with the spirits team to round out the events. This included a full social push, all event related marketing collateral, merch specific to the event, and then photography & on-site support during the event itself.

  • Impact

Both of our events were incredibly successful. Even in the heat of New Orleans and with a venue a little further outside of the French Quarter, we were able to attract 250+ people for both events, which is a feat considering it was out first ever appearance at Tales.

Teddy’s Bar

Our other event for Tales was a new edition of our concept bar “Teddy’s”. With Teddy’s, we’re able to gather many producers for an event, offering them all an opportunity to be involved.

This creates a unique space for collaboration between us as the distributor, and the brands we are proud to represent. It gives smaller brands a platform in spaces they may not be able to access otherwise, whether it’s budget related or geographically complicated.

For this iteration of Teddy’s, I wanted to lean into the NOLA of it all. I drew an illustration of an alligator having a martini, and he became an integral part of the assets for Tales, making appearances on invites, coasters, table tents, and even the merch!

Women in Agave

We partnered with La Gritona Tequila, Lagrimas de Dolores Mezcal, and Yola Mezcal for this event with guest bartender Eli Martinez Bello of Tlecan (No. 3 bar in N. America). Our goal with this event was to elevate the voices of women in the agave industry, one traditionally dominated by men.

When working on designs for this event, I wanted the vibe to come across as soft and feminine. I made original illustrations of a woman framed by an agave plant, as well as hands with heart palms and holding a a mezcal cup. This blue & taupe color theme would continue for all deliverables for this particular event.

I was particularly happy with the coasters I designed. Each with an illustration of the woman involved with the brands, whether owner or distiller, on one side. Then, on the other side, a QR code linking to the brand’s page within the T. Edward website.
